Wu Gong's Teachings
In Wu Gong, we follow the Dao. One of the aspects is being respectful, moral, humble, virtuous, confident, focused, relaxed and spiritual. All of these are taught together within the training. These take time and effort to manifest and grow in a personality.
Confidence is essential to a person's development, health, well-being and success in life. It is also the first line of self-defense: a confident person is less likely to be attacked than a mentally weak person.
Focus is selectively concentrating on one aspect of the environment while ignoring other, not important things. A distracted mind becomes a confused mind.
Humility is recognizing that one is part of the whole: the world does not revolve around one individual.
Inner peace is finding calmness of the heart and mind. It is not easy, but a practice that will make our lives better.
Morality is a way of living within bounds that promotes duty, obligation and ultimately spiritual growth.
Respect is concidering something or someone that is worthy of high esteem.
Spirituality is the search for the self and the connection to the spirit within.
Virtue is the combination of morality, respect, humility, confidence, and spirituality. The way to virtue is to follow the Dao.
