Intermediate Qi Gong: Crane Drill
It is also called the “Crane Steps Up toward the Heavens”. The Crane is the drill for the wood element. So the main focus of the drill is on the liver and gall bladder meridians. The Crane Drill mimics a crane’s head and foot movement. There is stretching of the legs, arms, and back. All of which loosen the muscles and spine to open the meridians. The walking like a crane helps to open the points on the bottom of the feet: yong quan (bubbling springs). It also opens the ming men (life gate), qi hai (qi sea), amongst others. The movements help stimulate the digestive system, liver, gall bladder, and helps with anemia, bursitis, myopia, and sciatic nerve pain.
